1. Process Before Time
Always travel your plans in advance (book flights and hotels in advance). Do the same for visas. Most countries accept visa applications up to 90 days before your date of travel. So don’t wait until the last minute.
Also if you book hotel or flight in advance you will get the best deal.
If you travel plan is within 15 days’ timeyou can opt for Priority Visa Service (not for all countries) this will put your application at the front of the queue.
2. Always Reach Airport at Least 4 Hours in Advance
Most of airlines recommend to check in at least 3 hours before flight time (for international flight), but airport security will allow you to entre airport 5 to 6 hours before your travel time.
You can request for your preferred seat over there. If you come late you will miss that chance.
Also if your budget allows you can negotiate to upgrade your economy class ticket to business class. If business seats are still empty ,you can get up to 25% to 50% discount on that upgrade cost
3. Always Keep Scan Copy of All Important Document in Your Email or In your Cloud Services
While travelling the most important document is your passport. But imagine what will happen if you lost or misplace your passport while at leisure trip?
To save yourself from doubt of entering that country illegally scan all your visa papers and complete passport including all you id documents and upload all of them in your email or save them in any of free cloud services ( like Google drive/I cloud/drop box)
4. Always Check Weight of Luggage
Normally economy class allowed to carry weight of 23 kg of check in luggage and size of luggage limit to 62 inches. Check with your airlines about luggage limit with your ticket in order to avoid embarrassment and to pay too much extra for 4 or 5 kgs
5. Take an Extra Bank Card and Credit Card with you
Disaster happens, It’s always good to have a backup in case you get robbed or lose a card. You don’t want to be stuck somewhere without access to your funds. Try to use card where ever possible. Most places accept cards and it’s easy to use and safe also.
